Jennifer grew up in the small town of Homestead located just south of Miami Florida. As a young child living on a 2-1/2 acre ranch she developed a love for music and animals. After graduating High School Jennifer was looking for an outlet for her musical talents. She started entering spokes model and pageant competitions in addition to singing the National Anthem wherever she could. Eventually she won the title of “Miss Homestead” and went on to be the youngest contestant to compete for the Miss Florida crown.
In 2003 Fox Television’s “American Idol” came to Florida looking for talent. On a last minute whim Jennifer decided to audition. Out of the 60,000 contestants Jennifer made it to Hollywood and all the way to the Top 30! This started a whirl-wind of media coverage and appearances...Channel 10's Gimmie the Mic, Colgate Thunder Radio Country Showdown, NBC 6 Rick Sanchez show, a runner up contestant of the Miss. Carnival Miami 2004 and these are just to name a few of the challenges and successes made! Jennifer’s work ethic was extraordinary as she would be called upon for Television, Radio and Printed media like the Daily News, USA Today, People Magazine, YM Magazine, Latina Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, even a stunning performance at The White House and more!
All of this and then Jennifer was honored by Miami-Dade Mayor Alex Penelas and City of Homestead Mayor Roscoe Warren with the proclamation of December 6th being Jennifer Fuentes Hayward day!
In 2004 the call of a lifetime came. It was to run away with the circus! Jennifer traveled for over 3 years with “The Greatest Show on Earth”, she could hardly believe her good fortune. Part Ringmaster, part story telling songstress, part dream weaver Jennifer’s hard work ethic continued. She performed as many as 13 shows a week with Ringling Brothers Barnham and Bailey in addition to her duties as a spokes person and ambassador of the Circus to Radio, Television, National Papers, Families and children of all ages across the entire nation. She has now toured virtually the entire United States twice, leaving behind a part of her heart, dreams and aspirations to millions of faces as a mentor. Jennifer left an impact on many cultural communities from one city to the next.
“I have been very fortunate through all of my grand experiences, I have encouraged and helped make dreams come true while I watched my own dreams come to fruition”.
In 2007 the Ringling Bros. train stopped in San Jose California and that’s where Jennifer decided to run AWAY from the circus...which is not exactly what many people end up doing after being accepted into this family of amazingly talented performers, traveling the entire country year round. So why did she run away from this marvelous, star-loving life style? Jennifer realized that she was only living in a dream world while on the road and not working towards what she truly wanted to accomplish – being a Country Music Star. While traveling with the circus Jennifer had the chance to really discover herself and what she could really achieve in her music career. Jennifer’s true passion was Country Music and it was time for the next step in her career.
“Am I brave enough to share my secrets to the world about my life, living, love, hopes, dreams, happiness, and most of all the sad times of my life that has been pouring onto paper over the years? Well, all I keep thinking to myself was YES! That is what Country Music is all about isn’t it…a good story?”
After signing a Management deal with Sound Management, inc. in 2009 Jennifer quickly jumped into the studio and recorded her first country track “Angel Give Me Wings”. In addition, Jennifer has also taken out time to film her very first country music video for “Angel Give Me Wings” while in the studio recording her full-length album. Jennifer is thrilled to be working with a team of people that are willing, caring and believe in her talents, energy, strengths and ideas! 2010 will bring new friends, new adventures, new things to laugh about, new stories, new songs and Jennifer will be singing them with glory!
