After solidifying Scene of Action’s current line-up in 2009, Berkeley California natives Joel Montgomery (Vocals, Guitar), Sam Raven (Bass) and Ian Sampson (Drums) began recording their debut EP "20 Minute Hourglass" at Popsmear Studios in San Rafael, CA. Immediately following the completion of their EP, local alternative radio station Live 105 began playing a few of the standout tracks on a regular basis and eventually voted Scene of Action the "#1 Bay Area band you need to know in 2009". Following this honor, the band was chosen to perform at Live 105's Not So Silent Nite 2009", sharing the stage with Muse, AFI, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Vampire Weekend, and Metric. Shortly thereafter the band was also chosen to appear at Live 105's BFD 2010 headlining the local music stage. In 2010 Alternative Press Magazine picked Scene of Action as one of "The Top 100 Best New Bands" in the United States. Scene of Actions song "Sexception" has also been featured on ESPN’s regular programming and ESPN.com. The bands most recent 2012 release "The Silent Collapse Part One" is now available on iTunes.
