Steve Harwell is the lead singer and founder of the multi-platinum, grammy nominated, world renowned music group Smash Mouth, known for such hits as Walking on the Sun, Can’t Get Enough of You Baby, Then the Morning Comes, I’m a Believer, and the enormous hit All Star, most known for its appearance in one of the all-time, soon to be classic, animation motion pictures (Shrek). His multiple appearances on shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Rosie O’Donnell, Regis and Kelli, MTV, VH1, Drew Carey, and the motion picture “Rat Race”, not including the hundreds of commercials from Pizza Hut to Jeep to NASCAR, just to mention a few, and their multiple tours around the world, have made Smash Mouth a household name.
In late winter 2008, Steve began to put into motion his dream of doing a solo country record. He traveled to Nashville and began assembling a team of producers, players, and began collaborating with writers such as Jon Rich of Big & Rich, Jeffery Steel, Ashley Gorley and others. This was like a breath of fresh air for Steve. It wasn’t anything like Nashville had heard before, and before long, the town was buzzing about his solo country project. Steve has received label attention from almost every major and indie label in the biz but is taking his time with this one, still putting finishing touches, remixes, and additional songs to the record before giving it to the world. “Doing a country record is something I’ve always wanted to do” says Steve, “I just never thought it would get this much attention.”
